Responsibilities
Utilization Review Coordinator at The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health (CCBH) to provide quality case management services to patient populations and their families. Monitor and optimize reimbursement for organizational services.
Essential Job Functions
Maintain appropriate records for the Utilization Review Department.
Prepare and submit appeals, conduct admission reviews and pre-certifications, conduct concurrent and extended stay reviews, and submit appeals to third‑party payors.
Schedule and conduct treatment team meetings to provide total case management by reviewing progress notes and communicating state or local agency requirements.
Demonstrate conduct in keeping with CCBH’s ethical standards.

Qualifications Requirements:
Education: Graduate of an accredited RN program with current RN license, or a Master’s in Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
Experience: 0–1 year required; 2 years preferred. Experience with psychiatric patient care techniques preferred.
Additional requirements: Completion of Management Aggressive Behavior Training (HWC) before unit orientation; CPR certification through American Red Cross or American Heart Association before independent patient assignment.
Work Hours: PRN.
