Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Histotechnologist (HTL) or Histotechnician (HT) to join our laboratory team. The ideal candidate will prepare and process tissue specimens, perform staining procedures, and support accurate diagnostic results for patient care. This role requires ASCP certification and a commitment to maintaining high-quality laboratory standards.
Responsibilities
Process, embed, and section tissue specimens for diagnostic evaluation.
Perform routine and specialized histology staining procedures (H&E, special stains, immunohistochemistry).
Maintain and troubleshoot histology equipment and instruments.
Review specimen quality and ensure proper labeling and documentation.
Comply with CLIA, CAP, and OSHA regulations and laboratory quality standards.
Assist pathologists and laboratory staff with specimen preparation and analysis.
Maintain accurate records in the laboratory information system (LIS).
Qualifications
ASCP certification (HTL or HT) required.
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Histotechnology, Biology, or related field.
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Knowledge of histology techniques, laboratory safety, and quality control procedures.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
