Follows CDC guidelines for sterile technique and isolation, demonstrates appropriate use of PPE, performs hand hygiene according to policy, and enforces safety regulations. Manages and intervenes appropriately for the patient with current venous access issues, including prioritization, appropriate venous access choice for age, therapy, and any current complication’s impact on the needs for IV therapy. Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports departmental quality standards and initiatives. Evaluates the need for and provides patient teaching in all aspects of the venous access specialty. Qualifications
Associate's of Nursing (Required), Bachelor's of Nursing (Required) Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) - RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement, Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) - RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - EV Accredited Issuing Body, Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) - RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement, Registered Nurse (RN) - EV Accredited Issuing Body, Vascular Access Board Certified (VA-BC) - EV Accredited Issuing Body Pay Range
