Senior Valuation Analyst – CBRE
Location: New York City, New York, United States of America.
About the Role As a CBRE Senior Valuation Analyst, you will be responsible for preparing market value appraisals on real estate assets. This role is part of the Valuation function.
Responsibilities
Assist management with the preparation of real estate appraisal reports, including data entry, taking property photos, and driving the neighborhood.
Conduct discussions with market participants and perform research.
Prepare an overview and research simple appraisal assignments.
Develop complete written market value reports with the guidance of senior staff.
Examine and review simple income‑producing properties; create and present reports based on market comparisons.
Inspect and resolve values of land, property, and businesses.
Research market areas and report current transactions, comparing them to the subject property and sales of comparable properties.
Track past revenue and expense performance and project stabilized operating statements.
Apply standard principles with limited practical experience.
Model CBRE RISE values and lead by example.
Impact the quality of own work.
Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
Exchange straightened information, ask questions, and check for understanding.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree preferred with up to 2 years of relevant experience; in lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
Certified Appraisal Trainee License preferred.
Ability to use existing procedures to address standard problems.
Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
Strong organizational skills and a curious approach.
Intermediate math skills; ability to calculate percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
Compensation Minimum base salary: $41,600 annually ($20.00/hour). Maximum base salary: $47,500 annually ($22.84/hour). Additional incentive compensation such as fee splits and other incentives may be provided.
