We are looking for a skilled and reliable Mobile Diesel Mechanic! This position is field‑based and requires the ability to perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel equipment and vehicles at customer locations or roadside.
Responsibilities
Travel to job sites or roadside locations to inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel‑powered trucks and equipment.
Perform scheduled maintenance, oil changes, filter replacements, brake work, and fluid services.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge.
Complete DOT inspections and ensure vehicles/equipment meet safety standards.
Maintain detailed records of services provided and parts used.
Communicate with dispatch and customers to provide updates on repairs and timelines.
Maintain the service truck, tools, and equipment in a clean and safe condition.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and company procedures.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; diesel tech certification preferred.
2+ years of hands‑on diesel mechanic experience.
Valid driver’s license required (CDL is a plus).
Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair skills.
Ability to work independently in a mobile environment.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
