Starting salary of $26+ per hour depending on experience

The hours and location you’ll work in as a Diesel Mechanic

Tuesday – Friday every week

Start at 2:00 pm

Normal setting: repair / maintenance shop at our Cocoa, FL hauling site.

Responsibilities

Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.

Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts.

Perform work within our Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).

Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.

Conduct safety checks on vehicles – the safety of every single employee and the people in our communities is our number one priority.

Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage and accounting for repair times.

Assist senior Mechanics in the completion of project work.

Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.

Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards and perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

Qualifications

2 years of relevant work experience

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Over 18 years of age

Legally eligible to work in the United States

Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations

Successfully complete and pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical

Work environment and physical demands

Required to exert physical effort: frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing; constantly standing, walking, and grasping; occasionally sitting and balancing.

Exposed to physical occupational risks (cuts, burns, toxic chemicals, etc.) often.

Exposed to physical environment involving dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements often.

Job operates in both inside garage/gallery or gas plant conditions as well as outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity.
