Construction Manager - Solar Power Generation
Contract Position | $58/hour | 12 Months | Belen, New Mexico
Overview Our client, a leading renewable energy company, is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee utility‑scale solar project construction from Notice‑to‑Proceed to Commercial Operation Date. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead major infrastructure projects in the rapidly growing solar energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage construction work performed by EPC contractors and vendors
Review agreements, contracts, and permits to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
Oversee system testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and quality assurance activities
Manage contractor performance and ensure adherence to project timelines and budget
Conduct site audits and participate in safety meetings to maintain high safety standards
Interface with utilities and project stakeholders as primary point of contact
Review and approve RFIs, scope deviation notices, and construction status reports
Support project commissioning and close‑out activities
Requirements
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Power Generation, or related field (or equivalent experience)
6-10 years of experience in power plant commissioning or construction management
Experience working with EPC contractors, engineering firms, and equipment suppliers
Strong understanding of engineering principles related to power generation
Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Ability to work on-site in Belen, New Mexico
