We are seeking a highly skilled
HVAC / Control Technician Master
to install, program, troubleshoot, and maintain advanced HVAC and building automation control systems. The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while leading complex projects. This role is critical to ensuring system efficiency, reliability, and optimal performance across commercial and industrial environments.
Job Duties
Diagnose, repair, and optimize HVAC and control systems for the LA Special School District.
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and control sequences for the boiler room and various departments around campus.
Perform preventative maintenance and system upgrades to ensure that all systems are functional.
Ensure compliance with safety codes and industry standards.
Monitor the building’s automation and control systems on a daily basis three or more times a day.
Position-Specific Details Appointment Type:
Probational or Promotional. The chosen application will be required to take a probationary appointment.
Location:
The HVAC/CONTROL TECHNICIAN MASTER position is located in the Operations Department at the LA Special School District in Baton Rouge, LA.
Work Schedule:
Typically, work hours are 8:00 am‑4:30 pm Monday‑Friday; unless otherwise specified by the Director of Facilities or the HVAC Control Tech Foreman.
