Application Engineer – Advanced Manufacturing Specialist

Yaskawa America, Inc. is a global leader in variable speed drives, motion controls and robotics. This role seeks an Applications Engineer with strong experience in machine‑tool control, CNC manufacturing, PLC and motion‑control programming, and customer‑facing technical support.
Responsibilities
Provide technical expertise and guidance to customers on the use of Yaskawa products and services.
Collaborate with the sales team to develop relationships with customers, fostering value‑add growth opportunities.
Deliver product, application, and process knowledge for projects and solutions from concept to completion.
Qualifications
B.S. degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer or Mechatronics Engineering with emphasis in controls or machines.
3–5 years of experience in machine‑tool control and at least one CNC manufacturing process (milling, routing, turning, plasma cutting, waterjet or laser cutting).
Proficient with G‑code programming and CAD/CAM software suites such as Fusion.
Experience programming PLCs (ladder logic, IEC 61131‑3), motion‑control systems, and developing user interfaces.
Knowledge of software development (C#, Windows WPF), IDEs, source control and issue‑tracking systems is beneficial.
