Job Summary And Qualifications Every heartbeat matters—and as a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist, you’ll be part of the team that protects them. In this role, you’ll stand alongside physicians and colleagues to deliver advanced care during lifesaving cardiac procedures. With access to state‑of‑the‑art cath lab technology, a strong team by your side, and the support you need to balance work and life, you’ll be empowered to deliver the safe, high‑quality care you take pride in delivering. From guiding patients and families through their journey to ensuring precision in every step of treatment, you’ll bring both skill and compassion to moments that improve more lives in more ways.
Responsibilities
Assisting physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements
Preparing and supporting patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures
Operating and maintaining advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment
Monitoring patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure the highest level of care
Safeguarding a sterile, safe environment while serving as an advocate for every patient
Qualifications Experience
Cath Lab/Special Procedures Lab experience - Preferred
Education
High School Diploma – Required
Associate degree or above – Preferred
Current Enrollment in an accredited Invasive Cardiovascular Technology Program – Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
BLS Certification as per St. David’s Healthcare policy
ACLS Certification as per St. David’s Healthcare policy – Required within 6 months
RCIS, or RCES, or RT( R) license from an accrediting body – Required within 12 months
St. David's South Austin Medical Center is a 368‑bed acute care facility offering a range of complex specialties and sub‑specialties. It is a nationally accredited oncology program with the area's only adult Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program; advanced trauma care with a Level II trauma center; comprehensive cardiac, stroke and orthopedic programs; full‑service maternity and newborn care; and two full‑service emergency centers in the communities of Bee Cave and Bastrop.
