About the Role As a LVN/RN at Smoky Hill Health & Rehabilitation, you will deliver compassionate and high‑quality nursing care. Your primary responsibilities include providing direct patient care, monitoring health status, and assisting with medical procedures under RN and physician supervision.
Minimum Qualifications
Valid and current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of an accredited vocational nursing program.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient care.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a long‑term care or rehabilitation facility.
Additional certifications such as IV therapy or wound care.
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care: administer medications, monitor vital signs, assist with daily living activities.
Observe and report changes in patients’ conditions to the nursing supervisor or physician promptly.
Assist with wound care, catheter care, and other medical procedures as directed.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and post‑treatment care.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety protocols, and infection control standards.
