The KyUMH Caminos program provides a safe place for children and youth who are at high risk for trafficking and abuse. These children have fled from violent situations and extreme poverty. Our priority is to help them feel safe by providing for their physical, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs.

Salary: This is a salaried position - billable units are not required.
Mid‑level (one to three years of experience) $61,275 annual salary plus $3,000 recruitment incentive paid in $1,500 increments at hire and again at six months
Experienced (three+ years of experience) $63,275 annual salary plus $3,000 recruitment incentive paid in $1,500 increments at hire and again at six months
Summary of Function
The Clinician coordinates and schedules clinical services for the KYUMH Caminos program.
The Clinician complies with required clinical documentation, adherence to human trafficking screening, and compliance to state, federal and Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) regulations.
This role provides clinical guidance to Case managers, Care Team Coordinator, Unit Supervisors and direct care staff; and advises the Care Team concerning mental health issues and trauma‑informed, behavioral management interventions related to his/her client caseload.
The Clinician conducts mental health assessments, provides ongoing individual and group counseling services, screens for human trafficking concerns and provides crisis intervention services. The Clinician is under the direct supervision of the Lead Clinician.

Required Education and Experience
Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited program, university, or college in psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family counseling, or other behavioral discipline in which clinical experience is a program requirement.
Current Independent Licensure – LPCC, LCSW, LMFT or applicable Kentucky licensure.
Preferred Education and Experience
Experience working with diverse populations, including refugee and/or unaccompanied children and adolescents.
Three (3) years post‑graduate experience.
One‑year (1) experience providing direct services to youth and families.
One‑year (1) experience delivering community‑based and/or in‑home services.
Highly preferred bilingual fluency in both English and Spanish.
