Clinical Autonomy Key Responsibilities
Perform hygiene clinical procedures, including oral prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and rootplaning, sealants, fluoride, oral cancerscreeningsand x-rays
Educate patientsonthe importance of oral hygiene, as well as instructionsand demonstrationsof effective oral hygiene methods
Communicate with doctor where there are opportunities in patients for restorative and/or periodontal needs
Obtain and review dental history and/or records from patient (review patient health history and care slips)andensure health history is updated for all returning patients
Qualifications
Degree or certificate in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program and a valid state license
X-Ray/Radiology Certification where state regulations specify
LocalAnesthesia/Nitrous Oxide certification where state regulations specify
