Job Details
Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards in intensive care unit setting
Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital environment
One year of nursing experience required
Trauma Level experience required
Assess and care for patients with complex medical problems including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety aspects
Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plans
Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate and plan patient care
Participate in patient education and assessment of learning needs
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and synthesize data for care planning
Develop relationships with families to promote patient advocacy
Address cultural and ethnic considerations in patient care planning
Participate in performance improvement activities and cost-effective care initiatives
Required : North Carolina RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC
Required education : Nursing Diploma or ADN / ASN from accredited nursing school
Preferred education : BSN or MSN from accredited nursing school
