As a Surgical Tech/Scrub Tech you will:

Work under the supervision of the surgeon and RN.

Assist surgical team during operative procedures by arranging and inventorying sterile set-up of instruments, equipment and supplies for surgical cases and passing items to surgeons and nurses as needed.

Assist in preparing and moving patients and sterilizing and cleaning instruments, equipment and rooms.

Day to Day duties:

Scrub on all cases.

Ortho heavy Dept. totals/trauma/ sports Medicine. Spine, Ortho Spine w/navigation (STEALTH,7D), Podiatry, Plastics, Endo, Cysto, Urology, GI, Robotics (DaVinci XI/MAKO, ROSA), Gen, ENT, Hands GYN, Urology.

Associates are cross trained for all services, no specialized service Teams.

Giving breaks and/or providing additional supplies and sterile instruments as needed during operations.

Assisting with Room turnover and restocking for next day’s cases.

Maintain Sterile field during procedures.

Handing instruments to surgeons, anticipating surgeon’s needs.

Maintaining and updating preference cards.

Job Requirements

Basic Computer skills required.

One year of experience in a surgical setting preferred.

Experience in a specialty field preferred.

HS Diploma/GED required.

Completion of an approved Surgical Technician program required.

BLS from the American Heart Association required.

Current registration with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as a surgical technologist for associates working in Colorado.

Certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgery (CST) from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) required.

Pay Range $26.49 – $41.45 /hour
