Health Unit Coordinator – Providence St. Mary Medical Center
Job Category: Clinical Administration. Job Description: Health Unit Coordinator at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA. This position is Full time and will work 10‑hour, Evening shifts. Responsibilities Primarily responsible for the clerical/receptionist activities on the patient care unit. Works under general supervision and direction of the department director, manager, supervisor or charge nurse and according to established policies and procedures. Transcribes physicians’ orders, schedules diagnostic tests and therapies for patients, assembles and maintains patient charts, answers telephone, relays other calls and messages and maintains appropriate supplies and equipment levels.
Required Qualifications
Coursework/Training – Unit Specific training.
Coursework/Training – Environmental orientation within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
1 year – Clerical experience.
Background in medical center/hospital setting.
