Senior Pastor – Creekside Community Church
Creekside Community Church is prayerfully seeking a full-time or bi-vocational Southern Baptist Pastor who is called by God to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, shepherd the congregation, and lead the church into a vibrant season of growth, outreach, and spiritual maturity.
We desire a pastor who lives by example, communicates the truth of Scripture with conviction and clarity, and inspires others to follow Christ in everyday life.
About Creekside Community Church: Creekside Community Church is a Southern Baptist congregation with an average of 60+ in weekly worship attendance. We are a multigenerational church with a strong foundation of faithful senior members—and are seeing a growing number of young families becoming active in worship. Our services are supported by a committed worship team that leads the congregation in Christ-centered praise each week. Located in Dundalk, Maryland—just minutes from the heart of Baltimore—our church enjoys the warmth of a close-knit, blue-collar community with a proud history and deep roots. Dundalk offers the charm of a water-oriented lifestyle with access to the Chesapeake Bay, local parks, and walking trails, all while being conveniently connected to the vibrant culture and amenities of Baltimore City. From the Inner Harbor’s museums and waterfront dining to historic neighborhoods and major sporting events, the area offers something for everyone.
Families will find a range of public and private school options, and with quick access to I‑95, weekend trips to Washington D.C., Philadelphia, and even the beaches of Delaware are just a drive away. It’s a place where history, heart, and hospitality meet—and where ministry can thrive both inside and outside the church walls.
What We’re Looking For
Is called by God and committed to leading in accordance with the Baptist Faith and Message (2000)
Communicates Scripture clearly and faithfully through weekly Bible preaching and teaching
Demonstrates Christlike humility, integrity, and a heart for servant leadership
Builds relationships with members through intentional care and presence—including hospital visits, praying with individuals and families, and being available in times of need
Supports and encourages the church’s ministries, such as:
Children and family ministry
Men’s and women’s Bible studies
Outreach to the homeless and underserved
Visitation to the elderly and shut‑ins
Encourages and equips others to serve in ministry
Qualifications While a Master’s degree from a Southern Baptist seminary or Bible college is preferred, we welcome candidates who demonstrate a clear pastoral calling and relevant ministry experience. We believe spiritual maturity, a servant’s heart, and faithfulness to God’s Word are what is needed the most for this position.
