Program and Course Offerings Part‑time faculty are sought for Business Administration: Marketing, Management, Supply Chain, Project Management, Small Business Management, and Entrepreneurship. Courses are offered in multiple modes, including face‑to‑face on one or more main campuses (Sylvania, Rock Creek, Southeast, Cascade) and online. Engagements are not tied to a single position but to an interest pool from which the program will draw candidates based on course assignment needs during the academic year. New applications are reviewed monthly.

Responsibilities

Teach approved Business Administration courses in person or online, as required.

Prepare and deliver course materials in alignment with the program’s lesson plans.

Maintain professional development and current knowledge in relevant business disciplines.

General Qualifications

Masters in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or other business‑related field required unless otherwise specified for individual courses.

Five years of related full‑time equivalent non‑teaching work experience in the subject areas required.

Prior teaching experience preferred.

Specialized Course Requirements

BA 150: Intro to Entrepreneurship & BA 250: Small Business Management – Either general business qualifications or a bachelor’s degree with five years of business ownership experience.

BA 203: Intro to International Business & BA 234: International Marketing – Minimum three years international business experience preferred.

BA 224: Human Resource Management – Either general business qualifications or a bachelor’s degree with five years of related work experience and SHRM certification.

BA 226 & BA 227: Business Law I & II – Law degree (JD) preferred; or JD with five years of related work experience. Prior teaching experience preferred.

BA 235: Social Media Marketing – Either general business qualifications or a bachelor’s degree with five years of demonstrated social media marketing experience.

BA 255: Project Management – Business Environments – Five years of project management experience; teaching experience preferred; PMP certification preferred.

Academic Credentials

Official transcripts required within two weeks of offer for all required degrees.

Credentials must be earned at a regionally accredited U.S. institution or equivalent abroad, evaluated by a recognized agency.

Benefits and Compensation New part‑time faculty may be eligible for Oregon Sick Leave and retirement savings plans. Hourly rates are determined by course type and align with PCC’s salary schedule. Newly hired faculty typically start at Step 1.
