Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Position Type: Full-Time | School Year

About the Role We’re seeking dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) for full-time, school-based assignments. Under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you’ll help deliver therapy services, support students with communication challenges, and play an essential role in their academic and social development. Join a collaborative special education team with access to resources, mentorship, and manageable caseloads.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students under SLP supervision
Assist with the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and therapy goals
Prepare therapy materials and activities aligned with treatment plans
Document student progress, maintain service logs, and assist with reporting
Collaborate with SLPs, teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student success
Support the use of evidence-based strategies and therapeutic technologies, including AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)
Help maintain equipment and organize therapy spaces
Participate in professional development and training activities as required
Qualifications Required:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders or AA/AS Leveling Program
Active SLPA license or certification (or eligibility) in the state of practice
Valid Driver’s License
Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Preferred:
Previous experience in a school setting
Familiarity with IEPs and educational documentation
Cultural competency in working with diverse student populations
Bilingual (a plus, but not required)
