Medix is currently hiring a full time Therapist at a clinic in the Fort Collins area. About 12-15 sessions and then a warm hand-off to the provider in the community. We're here as an interim in the community to help people get in quicker (if there's a wait to get connected with their provider/insurance, if there's a gap- we come in as a brief therapeutic model to help).
Job Overview Delivers short‑term, evidence‑based therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and families with a focus on brief interventions while coordinating with internal services to connect clients to long‑term resources. This position is with the team to work with children, adolescents, parents/caregivers, and families.
Responsibilities
Conduct initial assessments to determine appropriate intervention strategies
Provide education and support around behavioral health issues and treatment options
Implement crisis intervention techniques and connect clients to appropriate resources
Deliver brief therapy/solution‑focused approaches with concise, goal‑oriented treatment
Plans
Participate in case consultation and quality improvement initiatives
Maintain accurate, timely, compliant clinical documentation in electronic health record
Performs other duties as assigned
Develops and maintains positive, professional, and productive relationships with consumers, the public, other agencies, co‑workers and supervisors
3-5 Requirements
Master's degree or higher in behavioral health discipline
Colorado unrestricted license
Minimum three years clinical experience in behavioral health setting
Experience working with children, adolescents, and families
Experience in community mental health or related clinical field
