Rooming patients and preparing them for examinations
Assisting physicians with small procedures during patient visits
Conducting patient assessments and recording medical histories
Providing patient education and counseling on health maintenance and disease prevention
Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations

CMA certification
BLS certification
Ability to handle a high volume of patients, especially if coming from a specialist background
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, preferably Epic
