Job Description The Laboratory Technician uses general laboratory methods, techniques, equipment, and instrumentation in compliance with Eurofins Quality Assurance programs and SOP’s, supporting laboratory operations through general maintenance of laboratory and supply storage areas, equipment, instruments, and supplies. Must live a commutable distance to Edison, NJ. Schedule is Monday‑Friday 4:00 pm‑12:30 am. Position is within the Volatiles department.

Responsibilities

Retrieving samples from Sample Control for analysis.

Performing sample preparation which may include a combination of the following methods: aliquot samples, spike and trace samples, prepare reagents, bottle samples, prepare concentrations, separation, sonication, liquid rack set up.

Resolving discrepancies and anomalies to ensure samples are properly labeled.

Preparing general laboratory paperwork such as recording analysis results, tracking samples, bench sheets, and laboratory logbooks.

Washing laboratory glassware to prepare for next day’s samples.

Stocking laboratory supplies.

Cleaning work area(s) to maintain a safe working environment.

Assisting other laboratory areas as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

General knowledge of chemistry and/or general science.

Basic laboratory experience.

Basic mathematical skills.

Strong problem‑solving skills.

Ability to learn quickly and multi‑task.

Ability to work independently and within time constraints.

Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.

Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self‑motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.

Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.

Professional working proficiency in English (read, write, speak).

Perform other duties as assigned.
