Research Associate II – Analytical Chemistry Vantive, a vital organ therapy company with 70 years in kidney care, seeks an experienced Analytical Chemist to lead and execute laboratory experiments in the Renal Care Solutions R&D Chemistry Lab. The role involves supporting technical strategy, designing and validating analytical methods, and collaborating across functions to advance new and improved products.

What You'll Be Doing

Contribute solid technical knowledge to a variety of projects and support the design and execution of analytical plans for exploratory, new product development, and sustaining projects.

Conduct analytical problem‑solving and collaborate with project management, regulatory, formulation, manufacturing and quality control teams.

Perform SOP assessments, method developments and validations, author protocols and reports, and may act as study director.

Transfer analytical methods to manufacturing plants, CROs and other R&D centers.

Contribute to technical feasibility analysis of complex research and design concepts.

Support internal initiatives that enhance operational excellence and share research outcomes with the team.

Qualifications

Knowledge of analytical method development, validation and transfer.

Strong grasp of ICH, USP guidelines and cGxP practice.

Experience with ICP‑MS, ICP‑OES, IC, AA, UPLC/HPLC, GC, UV, Polarimeter, (NMR a plus) and related software (Open Lab, ELN, Empower).

Ability to learn quickly, solve problems and write technical reports.

Strong communication and decision‑making skills in a team environment.

Understanding of data management and migration.

Demonstrated flexibility and ability to interpret laboratory data to resolve technical challenges.

Education and Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a scientific discipline (preferably Chemistry) with 3+ years of experience in wet chemistry and analytical labs, cGxP, cross‑functional teamwork, and independent experimental design.

Salary & Benefits Estimated base salary $80,000 – $120,000 annually; potential discretionary bonuses, commissions, and long‑term incentive.
