MICU Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Nursing Job in Hickory, North Carolina

Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 11/10/2025
End: 2/9/2026)
Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM
7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 (every other weekend or as needed)
Unit Size: 8 beds
Patient Ratios: 2:1, occasional 1:1
Electronic Health Record: Cerner
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1570 – $1680
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Minimum 1.5 years of recent experience as a MICU RN or CVICU Registered Nurse
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state
Certifications: ACLS and BLS required; CCRN certification preferred
Strong clinical skills in critical care nursing and independent decision-making
Professional attire (scrub color: any, must be professional)
MICU RN Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit
Monitor and manage patients with complex cardiac and critical conditions, including CABG, TAVR, STEMI, and carotid procedures
Operate advanced medical equipment such as Impella, IABP, and CRRT
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
Float to other hospital units as needed
Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Cerner EHR
