As part of the critical‑care nursing team, your primary focus will be to provide care for medical, surgical, and cardiovascular ICU patients. Patient care may include respiratory, renal, stroke, cardiac, multi‑system failure, surgical patients, CABG, AVR, MVR, TAVR, Mitraclip, hypothermia, esophogectomy, CEA, thoracic surgery and AAA. You will be part of the Boswell team noted for stroke care.

You will gain specialized knowledge through detailed training to care for this specialty within critical care. Registered nurses work three 12‑hour shifts 7:00 pm – 7:30 am. You will also have the opportunity to utilize our self‑scheduling tool for shift and weekend coverage. Enjoy an 18% night‑shift differential and a flat rate $3 /hour weekend differential. Position Summary This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards. It is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others under their direction.

Core Functions

Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs; review patient history and physical with patient/family and ensure completion within appropriate timeframe.

Formulate a plan of care and discharge plan based on assessment data and patient input, establishing realistic, measurable goals.

Implement the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of the health‑care team, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching; revise the plan of care as needed.

Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record with legible, timely records.

Provide care based on the best evidence and participate in research and shared leadership activities.

Participate in supervisory roles when required and interact with all levels of staff and external contacts.

Minimum Qualifications Current, valid RN license in state of practice or equivalent compact license, and BLS certification. Experience in an acute‑care setting within the past 12 months is required. Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area, demonstrated through annual validations. For registry and travel acute‑care positions, a minimum of one year experience in an acute‑care hospital is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field.

Professional certification preferred.
