We are seeking a Staff Officer SME IV to provide senior-level policy, operational, and technical support across regional mission areas, including cyber, space, nuclear security, counter‑WMD, intelligence, ISR, and international engagements, delivering actionable insights to support senior leadership and mission execution.
Responsibilities:
Provide regional policy and operational support aligned with strategic and mission objectives
Deliver cyber technical support, including cyber operations planning and risk assessment
Support space‑related technical initiatives, systems integration, and operational coordination
Provide expertise in nuclear security and transportation security operations
Support counter‑Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) planning, analysis, and mitigation efforts
Assist with international engagements, including partner coordination and diplomatic support activities
Contribute to intelligence planning and integration across operational and strategic efforts
Support ISR planning and operations, including platform capabilities and intelligence integration
Provide reserve component integration support, as required
Support technical offices and special access programs, ensuring compliance and coordination
Assist with foreign disclosure processes, information sharing, and policy compliance
Requirements:
10–15 years of experience in defense, intelligence, or related national security fields, including staff officer–level support
Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI preferred)
Advanced knowledge of U.S. defense policy, operational frameworks, and strategic planning processes
Demonstrated expertise in at least two specialized domains, such as:
Cybersecurity and cyber operations
Space systems and technologies
Counter‑WMD strategies and nuclear security
Strong understanding of nuclear security protocols, transportation security measures, and counter‑WMD technologies
Proven experience in intelligence planning, analysis, and integration into operational and strategic planning
Proficiency with ISR systems, platforms, and methodologies, including understanding of capabilities and limitations
Experience developing policy recommendations, strategic guidance, and executive‑level briefings
Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex information for senior leaders
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience supporting or managing special access programs (SAPs) preferred
Knowledge of foreign disclosure policies, information‑sharing processes, and international security cooperation
Background in technical assessment and evaluation of defense systems
Experience working in joint, interagency, or multinational environments
Understanding of military reserve component integration (preferred)
Technical program management and project coordination experience
Proficiency with defense‑related software, systems, and tools
Prior experience within the Department of Defense or Intelligence Community strongly preferred
Experience supporting international relations and diplomatic engagements
