What You Will Do

Work with multi-disciplinary engineers to propose, design and develop, and integrate/test hardware within the Airframes and Advanced Effectors mechanical design department Contribute to one or more of our contract-funded and internally-funded efforts, each of which is at a different phase of development (proposal, design, and integration/test) Communicate with cross-disciplined engineering team members and suppliers to analyze, model, and document the design technical data package (TDP) and its capabilities and compliance to requirements Work under supervision and act as the responsible engineer, occasionally in a project leadership role, over entire projects or processes within an effort You will design, integrate, and test mechanical-focused hardware using computer-aided design, mechanical analyses, and consistent coordination and communication across teams to ensure successful hardware performance Qualifications You Must Have

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, Engineering or Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships) Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Experience with Creo or other CAD software with an emphasis in mechanical design Experience in hardware fabrication Qualifications We Prefer

Active DoD Secret Clearance Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and drawing practices and interpretation for mechanical hardware per ASME Y14.5 Demonstrated collaboration with cross-disciplined teams, using trust, respect, and innovation to drive results towards a shared vision. Demonstrated ability to influence others towards a common goal Experience with rapid-prototyping methods(3D printing) for on-the-fly design verification demonstrated in a team engineering environment Basic understanding of composites, airframes, or secondary structure design What We Offer
