What To Expect
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to support the Charging Construction team. As a Construction Manager, you will play a crucial role in construction oversight and implementation of Tesla Supercharging infrastructure projects. This person must have a strong understanding of project management, with accreditation in design or engineering, general or electrical contractor experience as a bonus. The role demands innovation, agility and quick thinking, and excellent leadership skills to ensure the successful deployment of our evolving and innovative charging solutions.
The ideal candidate demonstrates a bias to action, logical problem solving, and mastery of a project’s tactical details. They bring high energy and an optimistic approach to completing projects in a swift and quality manner.
What You’ll Do
Manage General Contractors to ensure work is performed efficiently, code compliant, spec compliance, environmental and safety standards
Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost‑effective and innovative solutions without compromising on quality or safety
Conduct on‑site inspections to verify work performed
Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovative solutions to problems in construction
Work with various internal teams to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services
Responsible for all aspects of the construction process from project bid to closeout
Communicate effectively, both orally and written. Prepare weekly construction reports with photos, schedule, etc. for internal and external stakeholders
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, a related subject, or equivalent experience
4+ years of project management or field construction management experience, or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability
Ability to travel (60+%) required with ability to obtain a US passport. Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple active construction projects simultaneously
Understanding of construction processes, including contracts, budgets, change orders, schedules, RFIs, submittals, and material procurement
Strong understanding of AC and DC power, transformers, circuit protection, single‑line electrical and mechanical diagrams, and construction drawings
Strong leadership capability, with competency using digital tools and software, and strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations related to civil and electrical construction
