TIG Welder – Custom Metal Fabrication
About the Role We are seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join a precision metal‑fabrication team that manufactures custom architectural metal components for commercial building projects. The work involves crafting high‑quality, visually clean, structurally sound metal assemblies used in a wide variety of architectural applications.
These products are made using advanced equipment by skilled craftsmen and are custom‑measured and fabricated for exact fit and finish.
Key Responsibilities
Perform precise TIG welding on metals such as aluminum and stainless steel.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication plans.
Fabricate metal parts including posts, frames, brackets, and architectural assemblies.
Use fabrication tools such as grinders, saws, drill presses, and cutting equipment.
Maintain and operate TIG welding equipment safely and efficiently.
Ensure welds meet quality, appearance, and structural standards.
Inspect finished parts for accuracy and tight tolerances; some projects require precision within 1/32 of an inch.
Work closely with other fabricators and production staff to ensure proper fit and assembly.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
2+ years of TIG welding experience (custom or architectural fabrication preferred).
Ability to weld thin‑gauge metals with clean, consistent results.
Strong blueprint reading and measurement skills.
Comfortable working with various metal fabrication equipment.
High attention to detail and ability to maintain tight tolerances.
AWS certifications are a plus but not required.
Self‑motivated and able to work independently or with a team.
Experience Level Intermediate Level
Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Kansas City, MO.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $70720.00/yr.
