What We're Looking For
Education: Associate's degree and/or Baccalaureate degree.
License: Current Radiation Operator in the state of Oregon and registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiology.
Certification: BLS.
Essential Functions
Reviews patient history and physicians' orders.
Educates patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
Monitors patient condition continuously and reports/responds to status changes as appropriate.
Prepares equipment and supplies, selects exposure factors, implements safety standards, performs quality control, and troubleshoots equipment malfunctions.
Positions patients and performs imaging procedures.
Analyzes results and identifies quality issues; takes appropriate action to resolve them, including repositioning and repeat procedures.
Enters, transmits, and reports scan results.
