UHS is headquartered in King of Prussia, PA. UHS is currently recruiting for a Controller who will split time between hospitals in the Henderson, Nevada Market. Henderson Hospital is a 303-bed facility offering comprehensive medical and surgical services, including emergency care, childbirth services and cardiac care, with recognition for patient safety and quality. Since opening in December 2024, West Henderson Hospital provides 150-bed acute care services with 24/7 emergency care and programs in interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, interventional radiology and general/specialty surgical capabilities, supported by in-house laboratory, radiology, pharmacy and therapy departments. The Controller job responsibilities will include: The Facility Controller supports the hospital market CFO by ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial information for assigned facilities. The role is structured toward development and progression into a future Executive Financial leadership role, offering opportunities to learn and train in revenue cycle, expense management, standardization, pro forma development and lookbacks, as well as operational budgeting. Additional Essential Duties: Assists CFOs in annual operational budget preparation for market entities. Prepares and conducts departmental Monthly Operating Reviews. Conducts monthly financial statement and operational reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness and standardization for market entities. Revenue Cycle – Net Revenue to include statistics, CDM development, revenue daily reconciliations, various payer reimbursement, contractuals/discounts, DNFB/unbilled and cash collection. Business development participation includes preparation of pro formas and lookbacks to determine if investments meet expected results. Manages various special projects as assigned by Market CFO, including changes in financial reporting requirements, acquisitions, dispositions and other requests. Five years plus progressive experience in a financial capacity at a health care facility. Experience with Medical Records (HIM), Business Office, Materials Management and Accounting departments preferred. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
