A steel fabricator is looking for a connected Sales/Business Development Professional to drive new business across North America as they continue to grow. The ideal candidate will be capable of generating new and diverse sales opportunities. Their compensation package is competitive and includes base salary range of $90,000 – $150,000 depending on experience and is negotiable for the right candidate. Opportunity for additional bonus/incentive structure. This is an outside sales opportunity with some travel to clients required.
Business Development Duties:
Scout opportunities to leverage competitive advantages to increase our market share
Confidently present to new clients to develop sales opportunity
Stay in tune with current market trends, including material prices, lead-times, and industry standards
Develop innovative and non-traditional means to increase market share and profitability
Business Development Qualifications:
+5 years of experience in Structural Steel Fabrication and/or Steel Erection Experience – both preferred
Good communicator who strives with little management and is self‑motivated
Previously established network of contacts and relationships with steel fabricator
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi‑task based upon priorities
Proven track record in sales and customer service
