Full‑time maintenance position – 40 hours per week (4/10 schedule). No per diem, no relocation funding.
Responsibilities
Must be an experienced Industrial Insulator with 3 or more years of experience.
Install temporary mats and pads, and pipe covering and fittings (Calcium Silicate).
Form sheet metal materials around pipes, ductwork, and industrial equipment.
Install insulation and fittings, pipe cover and board materials, such as perlite and calcium silicate.
Install sheet metal around insulated pipes with screws or bands to protect the insulation from weather conditions or physical damage.
Make flat sheet metal layouts of finished parts, such as sheet metal "square‑to‑round" transitions, offsets, flashing, tapered elbows, transitional elbows, "Y" branches and compound fittings.
Apply adhesives and mastic to insulation material.
Use tape measure or other measuring device to measure and cut metal material to specified size and shape for covering flat or round surfaces.
Use hand tools and equipment to form, crimp, or roll metal in place.
Wear required personal protective equipment, including rain gear, chemical protective clothing, supplied‑air and air‑purifying respirators, safety harness, fire‑resistant coveralls, hard hat, ear plugs and safety glasses.
Maintain full range of upper and lower body mobility, reach overhead, work in various positions (stooping, standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, squatting), use hands to handle or feel objects, climb ladders and lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
No minimum education requirements.
3 years of Industrial Insulator experience.
Must pass background check, pre‑employment physical (drug, hearing, vision, pulmonary function, range of motion testing).
Valid driver’s license to drive on site.
Legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States. Austin Industrial cannot sponsor or take over visa sponsorship for this position.
