About the Position:
Our client, a top global law firm with roots in Chicago, is actively seeking an employee benefits and executive compensation lawyer to join its practice in Chicago as an associate. This firm’s esteemed Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation team helps clients navigate complex executive compensation, incentive compensation, retirement, welfare, and other benefits issues and works in close coordination with many of the firm’s other global practices.

Responsibilities:
Advise clients on executive compensation and employee benefits aspects of corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions and private equity
Design, administer, and advise on cash-based incentives, equity-based incentives, employment, severance, retention, deferred compensation, change in control, retirement, and other compensation-related arrangements
Assist clients with a variety of plan documents, such as employment agreements, severance agreements, and performance and equity compensation arrangements
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience with executive compensation and employee benefit matters aspects of M&A, and other corporate transactions
Public-company executive compensation experience
Location:
Chicago, IL (Hybrid flexibility)
Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $310,000 – $390,000.
