General Description: Under immediate to general supervision and direction of a mentor/preceptor, this entry-level position works to achieve the initial competencies required to deliver specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patient populations for the purpose of aiding medical staff in the diagnosis, care, treatment and surveillance of simple to complex conditions, defects and/or diseases. Essential Responsibilities:
Utilizing entry-level knowledge, abilities, skills and available resources, provides safe, high quality, efficient and cost-effective patient-centric care and support services under routine or emergent conditions in a variety of care settings to include, but not limited to; acute inpatient facilities, outpatient physician practices, diagnostic/urgent care centers and remote statewide outreach clinics.
Education:
Associate’s degree or higher required.
One of the following:
Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited educational program with an emphasis in a primary cardiovascular specialty.
Graduate of a JRCERT accredited educational program with an emphasis in radiologic technology.
Completion of a Paramedic training program.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
AHA BLS.
Must meet applicant eligibility requirements and published standards for ARRT Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV) within 12 months of hire date. OR Successful completion of Paramedic training program achieved within 12 months of hire date.
