Job Summary We are seeking a well‑trained Nurse Practitioner to join the Department of Psychiatry of Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth) in the inpatient psychiatry division at MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie, New York. The ideal candidate will have a track record of clinical accomplishments in the treatment of patients with serious mental illness, and will provide services to adults, including triage, diagnostic evaluations, follow‑up care, prescribing, and individual counseling and group treatment as part of a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities also include reviewing patients’ medication records to determine the appropriateness of the existing medication regimen.

Training & Licensing Applicants must have a Masters degree in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner certification in Psychiatry, and a valid New York State license as a Nurse Practitioner.

MidHudson Regional Hospital is a 240‑bed acute‑care hospital and the primary 911‑receiving hospital for Dutchess County, New York and the surrounding area, and provides critical medical, mental health and substance abuse services to a largely suburban and rural population from its location in downtown Poughkeepsie. Due to high demand for comprehensive behavioral health services in this region, MidHudson works in partnership with the Dutchess County Department of Mental Health, WMCHealth’s HealthAlliance Hospital in Ulster County, as well as other community and government partners, to develop WMCHealth’s network of clinical programs in the region as a Center of Excellence in behavioral health services.

WMC Advanced Physician Services (APS) employs doctors and mid‑level clinicians working in WMCHealth’s hospital‑based and community‑based clinical programs including at Mid‑Hudson Regional.
