About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Care Career to find a qualified CVICU RN in Peoria, Illinois, 61637.
CVICU registered nurses (RNs) specialize in cardiac care within an adult critical care unit, providing comprehensive care for critically ill patients with primary cardiac diagnoses.
Responsibilities include:
Intense monitoring of patients and caring for those requiring intra‑aortic balloon pumps, external temporary pacemakers, and continuous renal replacement therapy.
Assisting in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab for quick diagnosis and treatment of patients requiring percutaneous coronary intervention for ST elevation myocardial infarction.
Responding to all cardiac and respiratory arrests in the hospital and assisting with immediate treatment of these critically ill patients.
Providing emotional support for patients and families, and educating patients and families on managing post‑treatment home care needs.
