Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA)

Location: Audubon Dental & Implant Center, South Broadway, near Tru by Hilton University Medical Center.

Overview Audubon Dental & Implant Center, a Heartland Dental-supported office, is seeking a friendly Expanded Duties Dental Assistant. The role supports clinical treatment care, maintains patient comfort, manages supplies, ensures schedule efficiency, and adheres to OSHA and company safety policies. New graduates are welcomed, and there are opportunities for leadership and further advancement through Heartland Dental’s extensive training and continuing education.

Responsibilities

Take and record medical and dental histories and patient vital signs.

Assist the dentist in managing dental emergencies.

Take and develop X-rays, organize and maintain lab equipment.

Provide comprehensive post‑operative care to patients.

Manage clinical supplies, keep the dentist’s schedule efficient.

Adhere to all OSHA and company safety policies.

Qualifications

Positive and outgoing personality.

Exceptional interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent patient care skills and strong organizational skills.

Superior working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.

Ability to build rapport with patients.

Good manual dexterity.

Computer proficiency and ability to learn new programs.

Ability to travel at least once every other month for training, occasionally overnight.

Dental assisting school certificate (plus).

Previous work experience in a dental practice (plus).
