Flex Security Officers

for the Indianapolis, IN area.

All shifts and days are available . The starting pay is

$18.50/hr

with weekly pay.

Benefits:

All qualifying candidates are eligible for a 401(k) with employer match (up to 8%) that work 20 hours a week (minimum of 500 hours per year or more) and have completed six months of service with Sunstates Security.

Requirements

Must have reliable transportation.

One year of experience in security, military, or law enforcement is preferred.

Excellent customer service skills.

Willing and able to work holidays, weekends, and in all weather conditions.

Must regularly stand or walk for extended periods of time and distance.

Exceptional report writing skills.

Mentally analyze a situation, solve problems, and make decisions under pressure in the area of responsibility.

Able to work independently.

Read and understand written instructions and communicate information and ideas in a clear and concise written form.

Flex Officer Explanation This position is crucial to our company’s operational and financial success. The Flex Officer provides trained, competent support by working shifts that become open due to illness, call‑offs, weather, vacation, or other causes, enabling Sunstates to provide continual, uninterrupted service and protect the health and work balance of our personnel.

Scheduling Expectations

You will be trained at various posts and/or facilities based on operational need; you may work at a specific post or location for several weeks, but this is not a permanent assignment.

Your schedule (shifts, days off, hours per week, etc.) will vary based on operational need.

You will be assigned to, or offered the opportunity to accept, shifts as they become available due to staffing needs.

Some shifts will be scheduled in advance and posted with the week’s schedule; sometimes you will be called with short notice.

You are expected to work any shift scheduled in advance that falls within your availability. If you will be unavailable, communicate with your supervisor.

For short‑notice call‑ins, you are expected to work at least 80% of the shifts called. Refusing more than 20% could negatively impact your employment status.

Education Requirements High School diploma or equivalent.
