Assistant Restaurant Manager – Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead
Waldorf Astoria is looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our beautiful Atlanta property. Located in one of Atlanta’s most prestigious neighborhoods, the 42‑story tower features 200+ guest rooms, over 10,000 square feet of meeting space and 3 food and beverage outlets, including a 3‑meal restaurant, bar and in‑room dining.
Reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager, you will help oversee daily operations of the restaurant, bar and in‑room dining to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
Responsibilities
Assist in management of Restaurant & Bar and In‑Room Dining operations, covering guest service, food and beverage quality, inventory management, outlet reservations and occupancy, systems management, report generation, department management, and meeting participation and facilitation.
Ensure consistency in food quality and presentation and monitor cost and portion controls.
Assist in monitoring and developing team member performance, providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations, and delivering recognition and reward.
Meet and greet guests and respond to inquiries, requests and issues in a timely, friendly, efficient manner and resolve guest concerns.
Monitor and assess service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards.
Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and training team members.
Qualifications
Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
At least three years of prior experience in Food and Beverage, with at least one year of supervisory experience.
Experience with Forbes standards of service or fine dining is a plus.
Demonstrated hospitality, integrity, leadership, teamwork, ownership and an ability to act with urgency and discipline.
