Base pay:

$15.00/hr – $20.00/hr

(W2 employee required). US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

Receive, stock, kit, issue, and perform other inventory management activities to support company and program requirements.

Count, sort, or weigh incoming items and verify quantities against purchase orders; process receipts into the computer-based company system of record.

Package, label, and stock material in bins, racks, or shelves according to identifying part number.

Build and issue kits or individual parts to support program and manufacturing material requirements.

Move or transport material from stockroom to production areas.

Conduct periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock and company assets as required and adjust counts to maintain 100% accountability and accuracy.

Maintain 5S standards within stockroom and storage areas.

Identify and correct conditions affecting employee safety and uphold client and OSHA safety standards.

May be trained for cross-utilization in additional supply chain processes such as HAZMAT certification, processing shipments, providing government-owned and company property accountability inspections, and other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

Lift, push, pull, and/or carry 25–50 pounds on a regular basis.

Walk, bend, kneel, sit, stand, climb, and reach for prolonged periods of time.

Use hands to finger, handle, feel, seize, grasp, turn, hold, and operate material-handling tools and equipment.

Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts, dust, fumes, chemicals, and loud noises; reasonable accommodation considered on a case-by-case basis.

Technical & Functional Skills

Independent worker with strong attention to detail and ability to work with little direction.

Ability to read, write, and understand policies and procedures and computer-generated reports.

Excellent people skills for collaboration in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment.

Outstanding work ethic and commitment to organizational success.

Accurate completion of paperwork and computer data entry.

Adherence to all health and safety standards set by client and regulatory agencies.

Proficient written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Skills

Experience performing material management in Costpoint and/or SAP Ariba.

Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO, AS).

Experience working and interfacing with suppliers, manufacturing, inventory management, quality, and engineering teams.

Previous forklift experience or willingness to be trained for certification.

Education & Experience

Minimum 4 years experience in inventory control/stockroom (receiving, storing, arranging, issuing, and kitting) related to inventory movement.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Seniority level: Entry level.
