Customer Relations Representative Responsibilities

Processing orders from EDI, eCommerce, manual, or through customer portals

Communicate with customers involving orders, inventory, and logistics

Communicate daily with distribution team to ensure orders are released to the warehouse

Ensuring orders are efficiently built for transportation

Work with Quality Assurance and customers on quality concerns

Communicating with demand planning and transportation

Work with accounting team members to review daily invoicing and support backup needed for customer deductions

Learn how market-based pricing works and help manage and update pricing daily, weekly, and monthly

Communicate with sales reps regarding customers issues / concerns, for necessary feedback regarding orders, pricing and/or logistics, and to resolve price issues and discrepancies with the customer – this will require working with the sales rep to know and understand their pricing structure and strategy

Work within customer portals as necessary

Work with customers and transportation team members on PO updates (i.e., add-ons, changes, deletions, etc.) and on logistical issues (date changes and shorted product).

Cross-train with other team members to provide backup support and to perform ad hoc reporting.

Position Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree required

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and recognize priorities

Strong attention to detail and organization skills

Ability to manage issues or concerns from start to finish

Prior experience with customer service is a plus

Experience with sales and reporting tools
