Water Treatment Sales Consultant - Salt Lake City, UT Chem‑Aqua is the wholly owned water treatment subsidiary of NCH Corporation, a private specialty chemicals and services company with over $1 billion in annual sales. The Water Treatment Sales Consultant will identify, develop, and service existing and new accounts in the greater market, working closely with customers to provide tailored water treatment programs. This is a remote position.

Responsibilities

Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing a daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.

Develop and perform all sales activities in the assigned territory, including lead generation, cold calling, and appointment setting.

Promote and sell maintenance services to new and existing Chem‑Aqua customers.

Hands‑on servicing of accounts, including chemical testing, calibration and repair of chemical‑feed related equipment, and visual inspections of systems as necessary.

Schedule service and sales calls, with daily, weekly and monthly reporting.

Identify new business needs and opportunities, and develop and implement customized solutions for our customers.

Requirements

High School Diploma; College degree preferred.

Experience in water treatment, water hygiene, environmental health and safety, and/or secondary disinfection is preferred, but not required.

Minimum of 3–5 years of sales experience with a proven successful track record.

Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and management skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience working on teams from multiple locations.

Strong mechanical aptitude.

Knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Highly motivated, self‑starter.

Perform physical work in HVAC, cooling towers, or boiler equipment environments, requiring exposure to chemicals, noise, hot & cold temperatures, and inclement weather.

Good physical ability – frequent walking to and from the worksite.

Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor‑vehicle record (DMV record will be checked).

Flexible schedule, some weekend work may be required depending on servicing of accounts.

Ability to climb and descend stairs and ladders (10–30 ft), sometimes carrying drums of chemicals up to 50 lb while maintaining a 3‑point ladder contact (per OSHA rules). Available ladders have a weight limit of 375 lb.

Ability to wear protective gear for face, ears, and gloves.

35 % travel required.
