Responsibilities

Gulfport Behavioral Health System is a 90‑bed psychiatric hospital offering behavioral health programs and treatment services for children, adolescents, adults and military personnel. Join a team where the Staff Nurse (RN) is a registered professional nurse who prescribes, coordinates, evaluates patient care, and collaborates with the health‑team. Opportunities to care for children, adolescents and adults. Nurses work 12‑hour shifts (7 a.m.–7 p.m. or 7 p.m.–7 a.m.) with rotating weekends. New premium pay option available. Walk‑In Wednesdays – Interviews for RNs from 9 a.m.–12 p.m. Qualifications

Education:

Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program (Bachelor’s degree preferred). Experience:

Minimum one year in a psychiatric health‑care facility (preferred). Licensure:

Current Mississippi State Board of Nursing license. Additional Requirements:

Must pass a medication administration exam prior to delivering medications, have CPR certification, and CPI certification (Management of Aggressive Behavior) including restraint, seclusion policies and pre‑employment training within 90 days. Hours:

12‑hour shifts, 7 p.m.–7 a.m., rotating weekends. Benefit Highlights
