Position Summary As an entry‑level clinician, the Clinical Dietitian I assesses the nutritional status of patients using recognized tools, and recommends and counsels patients, families, and caregivers on the appropriate nutrition plan to improve disease or condition management. Works with a general patient population and, under the supervision of a Clinical Dietitian II or Lead, with patients in more complex care settings.
Responsibilities
Perform nutritional assessment using age- and gender-appropriate standards and validated tools, testing for nutrition-related diagnoses.
Conduct routine screenings to identify patients at nutritional risk and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate care.
Implement targeted nutrition interventions, provide education to patients/families, and monitor, evaluate, and rescreen patient nutrition status as needed.
Develop individualized intervention plans, including feeding route, mode, and prescription, and monitor patient response toward measurable goals.
Collaborate with Food and Nutrition Services to enhance patient experience, audit diet orders, provide menu compliance validation, and support staff training.
Job Requirements Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s completion of an accredited dietitian program (ACEND).
Minimum one year of experience as a Registered Dietitian.
Licensed Dietitian in Nevada (LIC DI NV). (Reference: RG DIETCN).
Preferred Qualifications
Working experience in an acute care hospital.
Location & Compensation Henderson, NV
Pay Range: $29.51 – $43.89 per hour
