Job Summary The Administrative Assistant plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center's Adult Infusion department. This position ensures the delivery of efficient administrative services to promote smooth clinical workflows and exceptional patient care. The successful candidate demonstrates excellent time management, strong attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality in a fast‑paced, patient‑focused environment.

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED/or equivalent
At least one (1) year of administrative assistance experience
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, active listening, problem solving, and critical thinking
Skills with professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information
Skills with standard office software and systems, including word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications
Skills with practicing effective accounting principles and outstanding math skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide and compute percentages, averages, etc.
Ability to maintain accuracy of work and meet deadlines
Proven ability to perform self‑audit techniques to catch mistakes and maintain high degree of accuracy
Skills and abilities with Microsoft Suite, especially Word and Excel in analysis and keeping track of data and work
Ability to analyze issues and data, follow‑up without being asked, and present information and recommendations in concise terms
Proven effective listening skills to work positively with people with diverse backgrounds and levels of education, and ability to effectively confront and clarify issues in an honest, tactful, and diplomatic manner
Abilities to work independently, effectively, and efficiently, in an organized, self‑directed manner

Department Overview The UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center provides comprehensive care for patients with cancer and blood disorders, offering a full spectrum of treatments and access to innovative clinical trials. The Adult Infusion Room delivers outpatient therapies to both oncology and non‑oncology patients seven days a week, 363 days a year.
Department Specific Job Scope This position is responsible for a variety of administrative functions that support the operational effectiveness of the Adult Infusion department. Key responsibilities include managing supply procurement processes, coordinating recruitment efforts, maintaining employee time and attendance records, supporting department leadership with calendaring, and facilitating department communications. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, effective time‑management, organized, and able to communicate effectively.
