Position: Part‑Time Criminal Justice Instructor
Job Description ASU‑Beebe, a two‑year residential community college that is part of the Arkansas State University System, seeks to compile a pool of qualified candidates for part‑time teaching opportunities in the following criminal justice courses:
Introduction to Criminal Justice
Introduction to Crime Scene Investigation
Criminal Investigation
Criminal Evidence and Procedure
Introduction to Law Enforcement
Ethical Dilemmas
Community Relations in the Administration of Justice
Campus locations may include Beebe, Searcy, Heber Springs, LRAFB and online.
Position Type Adjunct
Job Title Part‑Time Criminal Justice Instructor
Classification Title Part‑Time Faculty
Campus Location ASU Beebe
Required Qualifications Master’s degree in Criminal Justice or a closely related field; or Master’s degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Criminal Justice.
Preferred Qualifications A minimum of five years of working experience in the criminal justice system. Experience with online Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as CANVAS and video conferencing tools such as ZOOM is preferred.
Salary $650 per credit hour
Background Check Statement This position will be subject to a pre‑employment criminal, sex‑offender registry background check. In some cases an additional financial/credit history/background check may be required. Convictions that have been sealed or legally eradicated and misdemeanor convictions for which probation was completed and the case was dismissed will be excluded. Disclosure does not constitute an automatic bar to employment. Factors such as dates of the offense, seriousness and nature of the violation, rehabilitation and position applied for will be taken into account.
