$600 Sign-On Bonus Available! About Summit Oaks – Lutheran Social Services of South Dakota (Sioux Falls) Summit Oaks is a
residential treatment program for adolescents
operated by Lutheran Social Services of South Dakota. It serves youth ages
10–17
who are facing emotional, behavioral, or mental health challenges. Summit Oaks provides
24-hour structured care
in a supportive, therapeutic residential environment, with services designed to help youth build skills, manage challenges, and move toward stability and success.
HOURS:
Onsite. Full-time and Part-time opportunities available. On-call as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administer and provide on-going training, oversight, and monitoring of medications certified staff.
Responsible for security of medications.
Provide support to physician, psychiatrist, or psychologist in managing the ongoing needs of youth.
Maintain comfort and safety needs of youth residents.
Take temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of youth.
Coordinate medication inventories with pharmacy on a scheduled basis.
May transport youth to medical appointments.
Schedule all medical, dental, eye appointments and follow-ups as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Currently licensed in South Dakota as an RN.
Must hold a minimum of an associate’s degree, and one year experience in nursing.
Knowledge of Medicaid, IHS, and insurance management system preferred, but not required.
Requires a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain one with approved driver status.
Must be at least 21 years old and able to complete orientation training according to agency program standards.
Must successfully complete all agency background checks, which include checks for criminal convictions, behavior harmful towards children, spousal abuse, and drug or sex crimes.
