PRN Registered Respiratory Therapist Liberty Hospital Position Summary / Career Interest
Responsible for the delivery of professional respiratory care services, which will address the physical, psycho-social, spiritual, cultural, developmental and age appropriate needs of each individual patient/family. Accountable for a group of patients for a designated time period. Provides care and care planning in concert with other professional healthcare providers. Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
Performs basic physician ordered treatments for Adults and Pediatrics: Aerosol Therapy Treatments, Low flow and High Flow Oxygen Therapy, Airway Clearance Therapy, Airway expansion Therapy, Bedside Spirometry, ETCO2 Monitoring, & ABG's Educate patient and document on all procedures performed Set up, maintain, and clean all invasive and non-invasive ventilators Monitor and document all therapy procedures Responds to Code Blue, traumas, OB emergency, and other emergency situations NICU/Mother Baby - Aerosol Therapy Treatments, Low flow and High flow Oxygen Therapy, Airway Clearance Therapy, Invasive and Non-Invasive ventilators Performs basic EKG's Cleans and stores equipment and supplies Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department. Graduate of approved Respiratory Therapy program/school Preferred Education and Experience
Recent clinical respiratory therapy experience Required Licensure and Certification
Licensed Respiratory Therapist (RT) - State Board of Healing Arts Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) - American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association (AHA) within 180 Days Preferred Licensure and Certification
