MECHANICAL GENERAL FOREMAN – DFW

Position Summary:
A leading Mechanical Contractor in the DFW market is seeking a Mechanical General Foreman to direct field crews and oversee day‑to‑day installation of HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems on commercial and industrial projects. This role is ideal for a hands‑on leader who can drive productivity, uphold safety standards, and deliver high‑quality installations while coordinating closely with project leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, schedule, and supervise mechanical field crews (pipefitters, plumbers, sheet metal, HVAC installers).
Manage daily site operations to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to plans and specifications.
Review drawings, redlines, and coordination models; communicate installation details to field teams.
Work with the Superintendent and Project Manager on manpower planning, sequencing, and material/equipment needs.
Monitor field productivity, track progress, and report issues or delays proactively.
Maintain strict adherence to company and OSHA safety standards; conduct daily safety talks and inspections.
Coordinate workflow with other trades, inspectors, vendors, and subcontractors.
Support QA/QC efforts, system start‑up, punch list completion, and project turnover.
Qualifications
5+ years of mechanical construction experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems, hydronics, piping, and plumbing installation methods.
Ability to read construction plans, mechanical drawings, and coordination models.
Proven ability to lead crews, manage schedules, and maintain high-quality workmanship.
OSHA 30 preferred; bilingual capability (English/Spanish) is a plus.
